I am very disappointed with the arylic support. More than four months ago I reported the problem with my board. Since that time it has been useless for listening to music. So far, there is no solution to the problem.
However, the HD board is still available in the shop. So there are working boards after all?
But why isn’t my defective board replaced under warranty? As it is now, I can’t recommend Arylic because of the lack of support. I have sent another email to the support and hope that the problem will be solved quickly!

It has been a long time. Maybe a release that offered a roll back to the previous working solution would be the best way forward for all.

Arylic replaced my HD board. The new one has the firmware.41.
It worked fine for only a few days. Now it has the same issue as my first board. The “skipping sound”. And there are gaps in the music. It sounds like it is muted for about one second.
Maybe it is a hardwareproblem. So a new firmware wouldn’t bring any improvement?

It has certainly been a long time since the problem was identified.
My board is running 4.6.516447.45. The build date was 20230509.
However this version number is only for the motherboard. The plug on Linkplay module has its own F/W and this number is, to my knowledge, not visible to us end users. The Linkpplay module does the audio decode and streaming so this is where the issue lies and is probably why Arylic has been unable to get a real fix in place.
No excuses though…they need to fix it.

I’m really sorry for the situation, we’re having a solution for this issue, and trying to get a release. The major cause is the I2S/SPDIF output in the same time and EQ feature, seems having some performance bottle neck, so we need to change to single output. Or disable EQ feature and I think it’s not good. We’re on the way to roll out the release, please just give us a bit more time, maybe 2 or 3 weeks.

I don’t understand why the board is still offered in the shop despite the problem that has been known for months. Or why it is shipped as a replacement for a board with the exactly issue.

I just received my UP2Stream HD and the board is not working; It doesn’t turn on, it doesn’t do anything. Tested with various power supplies. I have also received an OLED screen and nothing is visible on it.
Very bad my first experience with Arylic
Man that is bad! It seems to happen quite often. After two fails of a HD DAC, I wanted to return this scrap to Arylic.
They forced me to bare the shipping cost from Germany to China (46€!!) and also I got paid back less than I have paid to them. They just take your money and rip you off if you dare to return the faulty electronics. I have a feeling of being punished because I don’t want this defective stuff any more.
In October last year I Paid 255 $ which equals to 273€ that time. This time I have got back only 186€ which doesn’t equal to 255 $ today. So a loss of 87€ for me. With all the E-Mails I have written, the seem to refuse any customer friendly approach.
So I can only say keep your fingers away from Arylic!
It is also weird that they have the HD DAC still on sale!?

I have other experience, had also a dead HD DAC, but replaced by a new one and this works fine.
I have several other Arylic systems and they also work fine 2x Up2stream Amp 2.1 and 1 Up2stream Pro
they all work fine!

Th HD DAC is my stereo “preamp” behind it there is a class D amplifier
I use it as an input selector for my TV(analog input), Phono player (Via coax spdif) and of coarse I use it for playback of digital audio.
I also have issues when using analog in (TV) and analog out, there are silences of about 1 second and then goes on.
Also I notice when grouping it with my 2.1 and Upstream pro there is delay in the audio.
the HD-dac is connected to 5G wifi and the other 2 are connected to 2.4G WIFI on the same router.

If there are gaps in the audio then it is a F/W issue. Frank should be able to help directly.
I got the update from him and all has now been fine for many months.
Not sure why there isn’t a more general fix issued but at least they do know what the issue is. Hope you get it fixed.

Hi, I also have the same problem with the Up2Stream HD DAC board, I have the firmware version: Linkplay.4.6.509530.45. Does anyone have an update that fixes this problem?
Hi Qba,
The F/W number you can see on the Arylic app is the f/w of the main Arylic board. The issue that causes audio break up is due to an issue with the Linkplay module. This f/w can be updated separately and the number, once updated, is not displayed on the standard Arylic app.
To update the Linkplay you would need to get Frank to send the correct f/w and update tool directly to you. The tool only runs on windows so if you are a Mac user you would need some additional help. I ran the update using Parallels on my Mac.
Once this update was run the board reveals no f/w number on the Arylic app.
It really is about time that Arylic got this update released as the nom as soon as possible. I ran the Linkplay update around July 2023.
Hope this clarifies a little.
Note; once updated the multi band eq tool on the Arylic app was removed and simple bass/treble tone controls returned.
