I can confirm I have the same problem - Using Airplay from iTunes on a PC with Windows 10 to a S10 results in the playback playing for roughly 2 seconds, then cutting out, again for roughly 2 seconds and the cycle repeating.
If the audio is switched back to the PC, playback is OK. The audio plays OK if connecting subsequently to the S10 via Bluetooth.
AirPlay works fine from my phone (iPhone 2nd gen ios 14.6) on various apps - Amazon Music, Spotify, BBC Sounds etc.
I’ve restarted my Router, and checked the settings to make sure nothing has changed.
I’ve reinstalled iTunes, reset my S10, made sure the WiFi is switched off on the phone so it’s not connected to the S10 or tryng to.
I’ve also tried another PC that hasn’t had a recent iTunes update, still the same.
This is a recent development, I’ve had the S10 streaming from iTunes for almost 12 months with no major issues.
Seems you are all using the airplay on windows or android, does any one have this issue with apple device? I ever tested with iPhone and did not suffer with this problem. And will check with this clue.
And for the firmware we suggest to keep the current version but we are working to make an update file to return to old version multi room. So devices will be compatible with others. And people who want the old version can upgrade it manually.
The issue does Not happen when I use my iPhone. It only happens when using iTunes on my PC. But like we said, we did not have this issue before the software update. Both Airplay from ITunes on windows PC and on IPhone worked fine.
This issue has been fixed, and we’re still testing the firmware.
And many users feedback for the group volume adjustment problem, we want to solve the problem and release together.
Maybe you want to install this version manually first?
download the zip file and extract, then in the UpgradeTool, input the IP address of device and click connect, it should prompt with connected. And then select the extracted file, and then click upgrade and wait it finish.
Got it - yes it works again with Roon - no stuttering. I had to remove the excess characters from the name of teh exe file to get it to run, but otherwise no problem.
Great! Installed (simply via the web interface without tools) on two S10 as well as on two S50Pro+ and AirPlay works flawlessly again! This shows me that I bet on the right horse with Arylic. Many thanks to the team! 1 x “Dark Side of the Moon” as FLAC I have already listened flawlessly. The weekend can come Greetings and have a nice one, too!
