Reduce the USB size to 64MB to fix Firmware Upgrade issue.
I had this issue on a new device shipped with firmware v50. After lots of unhelpful suggestions from support, I finally decided to format the USB partition size down to 64mb on FAT16 (aka FAT). The smaller USB disk size solved the problem. My B50 is finally on current firmware. Instead of 4000 set the size to 160 in the instructions for Method 2 below.
You are right! I do own a B50 and being a DIY HiFi enthusiast for more than four decades all I can say that it is about an extremely buggy software that has a nightmarish behavior. The technical team who developed the software is fully incompetent as it is obvious by now after all these fw updates that cause a myriad of new problems in an attempt to solve one! I strongly discourage any potential new customer to even think about getting an Arylic product, unless he is ready to accept the inherent problematic performance of the product.
Iâm trying to update my firmware and itâs going fine at the beginning, I insert the USB stick which is detected and I get a message on the app saying that a new version of the firmware is available so I click on confirm, all the led are lit as expected but only 1 or 2 seconds then the led go back to USB and no update happened.
The behavior is the same whether I try to update to 52 or 57.
Anybody has an idea? Thanks in advance.
My B50 keeps turning off. ARC doesnât work either. I have tried firmware v.52 and also v.57 and the problem persists. Arylic doesnât help me solve the problem. I am going to return the B50 to Amazon to buy a more reliable one. I would appreciate any recommendations. @Kjohnson mentioned the Wiim Amp
4 months have passed since I wrote here about the discrepancy between advertising and the real capabilities of the BP50 and the functionality of the USB player. I think there is no point in waiting any longer. You, once again, deceived your customers!
Hi viktorďź
We are sorry that we did not notice your message on the forum due to the large amount of information. Could you please tell us your suggestions for BP50? We will evaluate your suggestions and update the firmware to optimize the product for your use.
I have a new BP50 that came with v55 firmware. I want to update to 56 and itâs not working.
Formatted a 2gb flash drive to FAT16 in Windows.
Copied the .mva file within the ARYLIC_BP50-0056-0bf6cc3e-20240130 zip file to the root of the flash drive.
Plugged the flash drive into the BP50. Opened app and selected USB and⌠nothing. No prompt to update firmware.
I also tried putting an mp3 file on the drive and itâs able to see and play those, so itâs not an issue with the drive.
Hey, since fw 52 FAT32 should work.
I got my decide today and it was at fw 54. ARC was not working and BT was muted with popping when reached at 100%, only solution was to turn B50 off and on again.
After put FW 57 on a Fat32 formatted USB stick and in the APP switch to USB Source, it asked if to update fw. I select Confirm, all LEDâs light up and after a few seconds, ARC work. which is my main use. so I am happy now! lol
I also put this in the Amazon review so hope others can find help and not need to send in for replacement or return for money back.
Does anyone else have the issue with the latest firmware that if turning off the led in GO Control app, adjusting volume will then again activate the led. Expected behavior is staying off after adjusting the volume.
I like the effect of using the input source to show volume level, thatâs a clever trick but please fix the led so it stays off if youâve selected that option in the app after youâve adjusted the volume in a future update.
