up2stream mini v4 has memory loss

Hi Community, im new to Arylic and encountered my first problem. I bought Arylic up2stream mini v4 and Set it up via the 4Stream App but every time it is disconnected from and reconnected to the power supply, it goes into setup mode again so that I have to reconfigure it again via the app (SSID, password). Is this common or is it faulty? Shouldn’t it keep the Credentials?
I’ve tried to
*set it back to manufactory-mode: same problem
*keep it closer to the router: same problem
*rename the Mini V4: same problem

Im out of ideas…

here’s the log from the getStatusEx

Hi,
It sounds to me like an issue with the Linkplay module, it might be a long shot, but it could be a bad connection between the two boards. Try unplugging the LinkPlay board and reinserting. Be careful with the pins!
Have you contacted their customer service representatives?

Dear Steve1,
thanks for your answer. Yes I contacted the customer service representatives and they asked for my firmware version. Separating the 2 Boards is not possible they were “glued” together (maybe by factory?) Image below

Hi, I didn’t mean the antenna (which does come off by the way) I meant the whole LinkPlay board, that is the whole top black board with 36 pin connections. It does come off with some gentle prising.

Hi, i gentle separeated the two boards and put it back togehter. Same Result. First the led is flashing fast followed by the boot up sound. Then the led is flashing slow and a voice tell me “entering setup mode, please follow the instructions in the app to…”. The link play module was glued to the board with some strange yellow substance on both sides. (So, I assuming that it’s not meant to be separated?)

Disappointing to hear that it didn’t work out, but it was worth a try. The adhesive must be something new, I haven’t come across that with any of mine.

Thanks for the help though, I guess I’ll have to send it back and hope for compensation because I don’t think this behaviour is normal. (I’m Gen Y myself and I’ve already grown up with electronics).

One last question: should it keep the credentials after pluging it back to power or is it normal to fall back into setup mode?

sincerely

p.s. The support suggested not to power off the module every time after use… :man_shrugging:

I own four of the Pro’s and a mini, I power them down when they are not in use. No issues.

glad to hear  thanks for helping me out again

Dear @Steve1 Finally got my hands on a new board and guess what it works flawless after reconnecting to power. It immediatelyconnects to known Network so my first board was probably faulty.

Cheers,
