Up2stream mini to revive old Technics amp.

Hello! I wanted to give a try on the little up2stream mini to see it is suitable for my needs. So far so good, with a lot of goods and few bads. My experience starts with a long wait shipping but i’m over it. It arrived with upper board not inserted all the way in in one side, resolving with cleaning yellow glue and pushed in. Not a big deal. For power i choose to use a 1.5amp charger from an old phone connected to the main switch, in order to separate power source from the amp. I separated all ground and chassy from board not to encounter future noises. A otg usb was mounted on the back panel. External antennas used because amp metal case shielding. I also isolated antennas from chasis ground to avoid trouble. Momentarly push button with led lights was mounted on front panel. I was sloppy not to read with attention the schematics and resulting to order button with 3 color leds with common cathode. So now only a green light led is operating when in wifi mode, in bluetooth mode button is not lighted. I ordered already a new button with common anode leds. After a few hours of drilling, fabbing and wiring, i finally smiled satisfied. The sound are good, without hums or other noises, the app is easy to setup and use. I am glad to give a new live to this old amp.
I am a little dissapointed that Spotify connect won’t work lossless but maybe a future firmware will fix this. Also i discovered that usb port is not usable with a memory stick with music, works only as a usb sound card connected to PC. Afterall a pleasant experience and a big satisfaction transforming old amp into an modern device.
