I am using an Arylic A50 as my DNLA renderer, 4STREAM (3.1.20.230912.88ce06) as controller, and Windows Media Player (WMP) (Version 12) as server.
I have many (hundreds) of playlists which are in .m3u files encoded in LATIN1 (as is required by WMP). If I have more than about 8 playlists in the Playlists folder (so they are seen by WMP) then 4STREAM does not show them (it just takes a while and lists nothing: no error messages). It does not seem to depend on the playlists themselves, I can swap around which ones are served by WMP and they all work individually (or in small enough groups). It does not even seem consistent as to how many playlists are being served, the same collection sometimes works and sometime does not. When they are displayed they play properly.
Is there a limit to the number of playlists or their cumulative length (it does not work for 9 playlist with a total of 352 lines and 159 tracks).
What else could be wrong? How can I diagnose it further? Is it necessary to use another media server?
