Hello,
I am trying to recover an Up2Stream Mini v4 module that appears to be stuck during boot. When connected via USB cable to PC with ACPWorkbench running, the module is recognized).
Symptoms
- The module shows a fast blinking white LED and does not complete the boot process (also no voice can be heard in the boot sequence)
- The same behavior occurs on two different base boards (Up2Stream Amp and Up2Stream Mini)
- A different, known-good WiFi module works normally on both boards
This strongly suggests that the issue is isolated to the module itself.
What I have tested
- The module is recognized by ACPWorkbench when connected via USB
- It becomes visible when the device is placed in Bluetooth mode (in WiFi mode ACPWorkbench says disconnected)
- Connection is stable (no repeated disconnects)
- Factory reset has been attempted, without result
- Power supply and hardware connections have been verified
So the bootloader appears to be functioning, but the firmware likely does not start correctly.
Current limitation
Both: ACPWorkbench and Arylic Update Tool require a firmware file with extension: .MVA
However, the firmware files I have available are only:
- *.bin
- *.zip
and neither tool accepts those formats.
My question
Could someone please provide:
- The correct .mva firmware file for an Up2Stream Mini
or - Instructions on how to obtain or generate the appropriate *.mva package
or - Confirmation whether a *.bin firmware can be converted to *.mva for use with ACPWorkbench
My goal is simply to reflash the firmware and determine whether the module can be recovered.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Ernst
