Issues with LP10

Spent a full day trying to set up the LP10 the other day – and it brought nothing but frustration. My Google Nest setup took 10 minutes flat to set up on my network, which is how tech should be. Tried every FAQ and forum fix posted online to get it work, but to no avail.

After not hearing back from the returns department, I decided I’d try one more time to set it up just to make sure. Ended up getting some very odd results:

Google Pixel 8 (Android 16)
Go Control: Fails
4 Stream: Fails
Google Home: Does not appear
Bluetooth: Appears & Connects

Boox Note Air 2+ (Modded Android 11)
All Fail

Samsung Tab A (Android 11)
Go Control: Works
4 Stream: Fails
Google Home: Appears
Bluetooth: Does not appear & cannot connect

So basically the LP10 can be connected to the network and controlled via Go Control using an old Android tablet, but can’t be used with a new(ish) phone running Android 16. It can be connected to the Pixel via bluetooth (through not Google Cast) – but if that’s what I wanted I would have just purchased a bluetooth speaker.

I really wanted to like this device, but I don’t think it’s quite ready for prime time (particularly the software, lack of WPS, and better integration with Google devices). If I can’t use it with my everyday phone it’s kind of useless to me. Hopefully this info saves someone else out there some grief, and maybe assists the techs at Arylic in troubleshooting things and coming up with better devices in the future.

I also had trouble connecting it to wifi because my network name has an emoji in it. The Go Control app would escape the emoji to Unicode (or something) so the name was mangled and the LP10 couldn’t authenticate. In the end I had to change my network name and then setup every device in the house again … damn.
Arylic really need to fix the app so that you can manually enter the network name and password to sidestep this issue. Or better still implement WPS and set up via Google Home like so many other manufacturers have. I suspect that there are costs involved to include these features that Arylic may be reluctant to shell out for.

Also, I have trouble with the volume. Airplay volume is fine but Spotify connect volume is so hot that it nearly blows my speakers. It would be great if the output from Airplay & Spotify Connect could be normalised.

I’ve got punctuation in mine (as it’s a passphrase) but changed it so that it didn’t when troubleshooting the setup, to no avail. Even made sure there was only the 2.4Ghz network functioning at one point to try and get it set up. Still nothing. I’m guessing it’s either a Google Pixel thing or an Android 16 thing. The 4Stream app doesn’t work either.

Agree with all of the fixes that you’ve identified here. The setup should really take about 10mins flat and the sound quality consistent across streaming platforms. Should be easy to implement, but as you say, there are likely costs associated with that.

I have the LP10 connected to a Sonos Ray via optical.
Can only get sound using USB input. All others = no sound.
Have tried cycling the Autoplay setting in the Sonos app.

Update as of Nov 8 2025:

Did a Hail Mary today and tried to set up the LP10 again on the off-chance that either Google or Arylic might have updated their firmware since September. IT WORKED!

There’s still some odd behaviour with the Go Control app – dropping of the device from the network and having to reinstall on occasion (likely due to Go & Google Home fighting over access to the device) … but so far, so good.

Current device details:

Google Pixel 8 w/ Android 16: ver BP3A.251005.004.B2
Go Control app version: 2.0.222.471
LP10 firmware version: AR241CP_8285

Am I still peeved that Arylic ignored my tech issues and a return request two months ago? Yes. But at least the tech isn’t a doorstop anymore. So that’s definitely something. Anyhow, hopefully this info helps some other folks out there. -E

you found any way to make 4 stream to work? i just got it and i m trying to figure out…

After a bunch more issues – with Static IPs, Logins, & Google Cast – I ended up getting rid of it. It’s just not worth the grief.
