Hello.

I failed to upgrade the firmware of Arylic BP50 to version 0057-d94126e9 using the Arylic_Update-V1.0.0 program.

During the upgrade, the Arylic_Update-V1.0.0 program suddenly terminated and BP50 was in DAC status, but was not recognized by the PC.

When I turned BP50 off and on, it did not do anything in STBY status.

Please tell me how to solve it.

@sayhello74 Hi,Please replace a DAC data cable and try the upgrade again to see if it succeeds. If the computer does not recognize the PC, it may be that the cable you are using is not a data cable. . .

Hi,

I have the same issue as @sayhello74

The program terminated and now only the STBY lights up red. Nothing happens anymore .
I tried several USB C to USB C Cables, yes these are all data cables.
I tried several USB A to USB C Cables to, yes these are also all data cables.

The BP50 don’t listen to the commands from the Remote, the Button on the device don’t make anything.
I guess the Update bricked the Device. I will return it to Amazon

same thing happened to me as well. only works if i remove and connect a usb stick to the device.

Still have thi Problem very often on using Bp50 with Arc input

This issue seems NOT to be solved with actual published firmware 57… for BP50
:frowning:

Hi, I installed the firmware earlier today (from USB stick) and haven’t seen any issues so far on OPT input, however I can’t get any bluetooth devices to pair in Bluetooth RX input mode. The BT light flashes quickly for a few seconds then starts to flash slowly but the BP50 never appears in the device list. I have tried with my phone and with Amazon Echo Dot.

Same here.
For me, the update program did not terminate but presented an error message.
Since then, only red STBY and no more.
@joia, @Joy is there any way to unbrick?

I purchased my Arylic BP50 Bluetooth 5.2 aptX HD Music Receiver 12/23. It did well with the occasional “no sound” condition. Jist found the firmware up, did the update and now i get nothing. Tried using Go Control, I’m connected by bluetooth but Go Control can’t find the unit.
Suggestions???

Hi, the same situation happened to me, when updating to firmware 57 the BP50 device was blocked and only flashed between “Stand by” and “BT”, and the GoControl application does not recognize it, nor can it be connected via USB, there are some solution???

I’m still having issues with crackling/popping noises. I did notice it’s only on the digital outputs. Problem is gone when using Line In. Anyone else come across this? I’ve tested this on two different BP50 units and the problem is the same - noises on ARC and optical, but works fine on Line In.

To all those who are waiting for a new firmware for their BP50 that fixes the HDMI disconnection problems, I have some news for you. Give up all hope on the new Firmware (dated December 4) because I received it through Rachel from the Amazon aftersales team at Arylic ( Rachel Customer Service/Marketer mailto:rachel@arylic.com) and the Firmware does not fix anything.
Here you can see that I applied the Latest (And Still Faulty Firmware) to my BP50 unit named BP50 Terraza.

After I explained to Rachel that the firmware did not correct any of the problems, she offered the following:
Hi, I’m Rachel from arylic’s Amazon after-sales service team. I’m happy to be of service to you. Please follow the steps below to make a refund.

1, Please send me the barcode of the equipment.(RK******)

2, please return the device to the following address, and send me the logistics number:

Recipient:Dongm Li

Address:Balsaminen Str 9C

Zip code:80935

City:Muenchen

Country:Germany

Phone number:017626776959

*Dongm Li only help us receive after sales items. If you have any questions, please send mail to info mail.

3, I will make a refund for you.

When I asked who was going to pay for the shipping to Germany, I received this answer:
Shipping costs are your responsibility. Because we refunded you outside the refund period. We need to each make a concession.

My Response “FUCK THAT”.
I’m tired of trying to get this product to work as it should and taking horrible treatment from the so-called support team (which is simply non-existent).
I would rather throw that product in the trash and replace it with something else than spend a single penny more on Arylic products.

Your company must understand that those who purchase its products expect them to work as described and if this does not happen, an appropriate technical response will be given.
Those of us who buy the products are your customers and your company should be grateful and willing to solve the problems.

I am sick of this company!!!

I just updated to this firmware, it also fixed the LED issue I described for the previous version (it went back on after adjusting the volume previously and you would have to go to the app to turn it off again but now that seems fixed thanks!).

EDIT: Well slight inconvenience I noticed in the LED behavior is that when the computer is turned off / going into sleep, the LED in which mode it’s used lights up so you then have to for example adjust the volume to get the LED to turn off again. I might just stick with the previous version as I always kept the volume at its maximum setting eitherway and adjusted the volume on my final amp and that way it also stayed unlit all the time. For me the proper logic when turning off the LED in the app would be that it would only come on briefly (for like 4-5 secs) when adjusting the volume and when manually changing the input mode and going back to staying off otherwise (turning the device off that it’s connected to shouldn’t affect it either).

Another thing I also noticed with this update, at first I thought it sounded worse somehow than previously but couldn’t quite put the finger on it but then I see “dual output” is enabled by default when it was previously “off” by default. I think enabling this also slightly affects sound quality negatively in the sense the soundstaging & imaging when listening with headphones becomes worse but the difference is very very subtle and you might just hear it if you’re more of an audiophile headphone guy or using more high quality stuff. Anyway if you don’t need that feature I suggest you turn it off!

Also while we’re at it, I suggest installing the software for the desktop computer if possible and check that “Output Mode” is enabled and set to “stereo” under “Audio Effect” tab, this will bring a free subtle soundstage width increase that I think makes it sound better as well (not sure if it’s enabled or not by default). Optionally I’d also suggest giving “MV3D Plus” a try as well, for me the sweetspot is “87” but YMMV. These subtle changes makes me think using a BP50 as a preamp gets really good results and I’ve got this thing hooked up to a RME ADI-2 DAC fs that is a 1000€ DAC/amp combo. :stuck_out_tongue: (I was just getting this device primarily as way to be able to EQ BT headphones but ended up loving it as a permanent part of the audio stack for the previous mentioned settings).

Hi Victor, I totally agree with you, the support of this company is disappointing.
A while ago I bought a BP50 on eBay and the truth is, although I had some problems with the HDMI ARC input since sometimes the CEC functions did not work correctly and sometimes the speakers did not sound but only the subwoofer, however, the sound, the number of other inputs, the PHONO input, the subwoofer output and the crossover for the subwoofer as well as the possibility of transmitting via Bluetooth to several headphones were options that I loved, especially because I got it at a very good price, then a friend who heard it sound was delighted and made me an offer for which I earned good money compared to the price at which I bought it and sold it to him.
Since I had the BP50 in a secondary room I was in no hurry to get another one, until I got another one on eBay again and although it was not as cheap as the first one, it was more complete and newer, however, this one came with original firmware I think it was version 0051, which worked correctly, but when trying to update the equipment to the firmware version published in this forum (0057-d94126e9) the equipment completely bricked and only remains flashing between the “Stand by” and “BT” indicators, and the GoControl application does not connect leaving the equipment useless.
I wrote directly to Arylic’s technical service indicating the serial number of the equipment and explaining the situation and they only replied that without the purchase order number they could not give me a solution, this seems totally irresponsible and disappointing for a technical support especially because I have seen in this forum that I am not the only one who has had the same problem with this firmware, it is stupid that a firmware published by a company causes damage to its equipment and the company does not take responsibility for the solution, I will also throw the device in the trash and I will tell as many people as I can not to even think about buying something from the Arylic brand.
