Audio over Wi-Fi basic question

Audio over Wi-Fi update.
I’ve done some more research and I think I’ve found a board level solution to the streaming audio over WiFi idea.
This is for a portable battery powered distributed audio idea.

It looks like I’ll need to use these two board options.

Up2stream Pro - Multiroom Wireless Receiver Board to transmit

Up2stream Mini- Multiroom Wi-Fi Streamer Boards to receive.

I think that it should work like this.

The Pro has a LAN connection and a line in connection.

I can feed the line in with the output of my little 4 channel mixer board, 2 mics and a on-board MP3 player.
I can hook up the LAN to a Wi-Fi router running as a stand alone LAN.

I think that by using up2stream’s Go-Control app that I should be able to connect all the boards together and specify the line-in as the audio source?

I’m hoping then that these settings stay after power down.

I shouldn’t have to open the app to set things in motion right?

I just want it to stream from the line-in on power up.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel

How does the go app work with the extra boards? I know the go app works for 20 minutes on my phone and when I look at my phone after that I see it’s still says it’s connected but the app shows no connected devices. It won’t reconnect unless I uninstall the app and reinstall it, then it works for 20 more minutes. I see no info in the app that shows what’s playing from the USB and the USB won’t play anything that’s in a folder so you’re stuck skipping files to reach what you want. I would t expect much from the app at allim using a moto g 5g 2025 with android 15 and I quit bothering with the app after a few months if the same bullshit happening.

Good luck. You know you can get tiny 300wath mono amps that can pair as a single stereo amp but will require 2 connections. I’ve tried using stereo Bluetooth amps that required 2 separate amps set up in a 3vway speaker set up, using the stereo high pass on drivers using analog OEM crossovers feeding mono on each amp and using the built in sub output on the wikfers but couldn’t get both amps to connect in separate right and left mono configurations . It takes amps with that feature built in to use to mono amps in stereo configuration if course they’ll be running full range right and left. I saw them on Chinese sales sites like AliExpress with claimed 300 watt mono operation but they have a stereo Bluetooth connection that requires both amps to be synced on playback. They were like $25 each with no power supplies. You’d need 2 separate psus as well. I ditched my idea when I realized it was going to cost me more than just buying a good used real 300 to 500 watt per channel crown or QSC reliable loud as hell amp instead .

You can add Bluetooth to the amps if your dead set on running Bluetooth . Either way you still have to run wires from a power source to the speakers . With most Bluetooth only having a 30 foot range I never could see what good it was just to save 60 feet (30 feet x2 equals max distance for bluetooth) of wire and still needing to have a power outlet near the speakers or running long extension cords, never made much sense to me. If it’s less than 30 feet then I really don’t understand what good Bluetooth is when a remote or remote mixer and source is right in front of you?

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me I appreciate the time it took.
Yes, Bluetooth is an option but I am specifically tryingvto do ths with wifi.

  1. I’m a bit nuts about sound quality and the compression that happens over Bluetooth is non-ideal to me. With wifi I can stream uncompressed CD quality audio.
  2. Range 2.4Ghz wifi has about 4x the line of site range.
    1. Number of connections to satellite speakers. I think the most current bluetooth can do 6 connections. Over wifi over 100 simultaneous connections are possible.
Annnd, I already own the Arylic stuff…
