Hello
I experience audio lag , when arylic h50 is connected to tv with hdmi arc. Tv settings is set to pcm ( it is a Philips tv, pcm setting is called Easy-link). I have used different hdmi arc ports, made a factory reset, tried any setting on tv, but audio latency persist. Every now and then audio/video are in sync, but audio lag will return again after tv and h50 have been turned off and on again. Any solutions?
Best regards
Henning West
I got a H50 and got the same problem. In fact I got worst because it’s unsync even with the optical input and the line input if I start playing on HDMI mode, if I switch it stay unsync. Anyone have a solution?
Thanks
thanks for the feedback. And the root cause is the audio inputs are redirected to the internal module, and then output, to make sure the voice of Alexa would be heard in any condition. And this will bring a delay in audio processing.
Maybe we should change this policy, to make sure the audio latency low at first. We’ll collect more feedback and decide, or at least we could add a switch for user to select.
I have the same issue. h50 has this problem in all inputs (PC DAC - optical - line in - hdmi - airplay and wifi! It is a disaster! my other products (up2stream 2.1 and a50) work perfectly!
it should be the best but instead it is the most ridiculous product that Arylic has ever built
No one has proposed an effective method yet. I think we should directly ask the staff; otherwise, they won’t handle it.
Hello again
Thank you for your reply!
So the problem is located to the H50 as I understand it, which means it is a known and inherent issue(?)
Can you be more specific about changing policy (Software update?) You mention a switch to solve the audiolag, what do you mean exactly.
I just cannot understand the priority: Alexa over synchronized audio. My main reason to buy the H50 over other products was HDMI arc to connect it to my tv for better sound. I believe I am not alone in this matter. Otherwise it works fine for me.
Alexa requires to make sure user will always hear the sounds pulled from cloud. For example, you say something to Echo to control H50, and H50 need to be responsible in any condition, even if it’s in ARC input mode. So we need to mix the audio output from WIFI module (which is the major part to work with Alexa) and the external input (eg: ARC). This is the root cause. I hope it explains well.
And btw, my thought to solve this issue. By default, H50 will still work in this common way. But, user could have a chance to send a special command to configure the device to output audio directly without mixing with WIFI audio. That would be somewhat fix the issue. And we also don’t need to break the rule of Amazon.
Anyway, we’re very careful to push OTA to all devices. If you wish, you could write me a mail (frank [at] arylic.com), I can share the latest firmware.
Thanks a lot, I have sent you an email.
I am curious about this as well. Looking to purchase a product for my pool to sync to my TV auto and play on speakers around. I want to make sure the audio stays in sync. Would there be a better choice over the H50?
