Voici encore une intégration d’un module Arylic dans une boite à sardines. Cette fois j’ai utilisé l’up2stream mini v3 (Wifi Audio Receiver with Multi zone Control-Arylic.com) à moins de 50$. C’est la plus petite des plaques diy de la marque. Cette carte permet donc d’ajouter le wifi, airplay, spotify connect et le bluetooth 5.0 à n’importe quoi. Ce n’est pas un amplificateur mais bien un streamer, il a donc besoin d’être associé à un ampli pour pouvoir profiter de son potentiel.
Je ne crois pas avoir vu de système multiroom de qualité équivalente pour moins cher.
J’ai déjà intégré la carte pro v3 dans une boite à biscuit Dandoy (https://www.reddit.com/r/diyaudio/comments/t5uqho/multiroom_in_a_cookie_box/) ainsi qu’une up2stream amp2.1 dans une boite de munition(https://www.reddit.com/user/Abrainart/comments/ugm1wg/multiroom_in_a_sardine_box/ ) .
Je continue donc d’explorer cette marque de tester leurs différents modules au grès de mes petites intégrations.
J’ai hésité à ajouter la board DAC (sortie de meilleure qualité grace à la puce ESS 9023) , elle est légèrement plus haute que la boite en elle-même à cause de la partie en plastique pour pouvoir la viser. J’aurai pu la couper afin qu’elle rentre dans la boite et la fixer autrement, la coller par exemple mais ce sera pour une prochaine boite, en fonction des besoins. J’avais aussi la possibilité d’y ajouter une entrée spdiff de la même façon. Il est possible de modifier la carte spdiff en entrée via un programme ACPworkbench mais le programme ne fonctionne que sous windows… ce que je n’ai pas.
Cette petite boite est assez mignonne. Elle se couple très bien avec un petit baffle amplifié afin de lui ajouter du bluetooth et du wifi.
J’aimerais beaucoup pouvoir trouver des « couvercles » de boites à sardines à pouvoir sertir ou coller sur la boite ouverte afin d’avoir un visuel parfait. Si quelqu’un peut me conseiller ou trouver cela ou comment ouvrir mes boites à sardines en gardant la partie avec la gachette cela me serait très utile !
J’ai utilisé le cable fourni avec afin de déporter les leds bleue (bluetooth) et blanche (wifi) afin qu’elles soient visible en dehors de la boite et que l’on puisse voir d’un coup d’œil sur quelle source on est branché. Comme indiqué dans la documentation, j’y ai ajouté une résistance d’1k entre le 3v et les leds.
Je n’ai pas déporté le récepeur infrarouge pour ce projet car la personne à qui la boite est destinée n’a pas besoin de télécommande, tout se gèrera via l’app 4 stream (gratuite) mais cela se fait assez facilement. On peut y lier directement son compte spotify, deezer, amazon music etc…
Afin de fermer la boite j’ai utilisé un bois de 3mm que j’ai découpé afin qu’il rentre parfaitement à l’arrière de la boite. Le mini v3 y est attaché afin qu’il puisse rester en place même si on insère et enlève plusieurs fois les cables usb d’alimentation ou mini jack pour la sortie son.
Cette carte est tellement petite qu’elle peut rentrer dans presque n’importe quoi. J’ai hâte de me lancer dans un nouveau projet et l’intégrer à un vieux phonographe.

Here is another integration of an Arylic module in a sardine box. This time I used the up2stream mini v3 (Wifi Audio Receiver with Multi zone Control-Arylic.com) under $50. It is the smallest of the diy plates of the brand. This card therefore allows you to add wifi, airplay, spotify connect and bluetooth 5.0 to anything. It is not an amplifier but a streamer, so it needs to be associated with an amp to be able to take advantage of its potential.
I don’t think I’ve seen a multiroom system of equivalent quality for less.

So I continue to explore this brand to test their different modules with my small integrations.
I hesitated to add the DAC board (better quality output thanks to the ESS 9023 chip), it is slightly higher than the box itself because of the plastic part to be able to aim it. I could have cut it so that it fits in the box and fix it otherwise, glue it for example but it will be for a next box, depending on the needs. I also had the option of adding an spdiff entry to it the same way. It is possible to modify the spdiff map as input via an ACPworkbench program but the program only works on windows… which I don’t have.
This little box is quite cute. It pairs very well with a small amplified speaker in order to add bluetooth and wifi to it.
I would love to be able to find sardine tin “lids” that can be crimped or glued onto the open tin in order to have a perfect visual. If anyone can advise me where to find this or how to open my sardine cans keeping the part with the trigger that would be very useful to me!I used the cable supplied with it to deport the blue (bluetooth) and white (wifi) LEDs so that they are visible outside the box and that we can see at a glance which source we are connected. As indicated in the documentation, I added a 1k resistor between the 3v and the leds.
I did not deport the infrared receiver for this project because the person for whom the box is intended does not need a remote control, everything will be managed via the 4 stream app (free) but it is quite easy. You can directly link your spotify account, deezer, amazon music etc… In order to close the box I used a 3mm wood that I cut so that it fits perfectly at the back of the box. The mini v3 is attached to it so that it can stay in place even if you insert and remove the usb power cables or mini jack cables for the sound output several times.
This card is so small it can fit in almost anything. I can’t wait to embark on a new project and integrate it into an old phonograph.
