Im researching getting an amp/preamp for my TV room using the optical output from my TV.
What sort of latency time does the optical input have to the speaker outputs?
ALSO - can I control the volume level and source selection of an A50+ through Home Assistant? I couldnt find any reference on the A50+ product page that suggests it supports linkplay.

Its exactly what I needed to know. Im not intending on syncing more than one unit - I actually need a preamp thats controllable by Home Assistant and this seems to be one of the very few options available for us that run integrated amplifier setups.
Me personally I run a Turntable thru a RIAA preamp and a TV w optical out.

Yes this works e.g. with media player card. You need to manually add section to configuration.yaml as specified in the documentation to have the source selection list right. I added linkplay integration using HACS.
